How I love my beebs.......

I don't know how many of you heard or read the talk given by M. Russell Ballard in General Conference to young mothers. Very sweet. Very real. Anyway, loved the quote by author Anna Quindlen. Gonna share it. Here goes, "The biggest mistake I made [as a parent] is the one that most of us make.......I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of [my three children] sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages six, four, and one. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less."

When I heard him giving that talk I told myself..."that should be framed up in my house". It was seriously so so good. I also loved that he talked right before President Monson. Thanks for sharing. I love it.

Amen. That's why we blog. To hold on to those moments with our young children a little longer. I love your guts.

I thought that was a terrific talk too...It made me want to cry and feel a little guilty, but the kind of guilty that's good and makes you want to try harder and be better.

Your kids are so cute! I wish we could live in Virginia. It is so beautiful. I hope everything works out with the job!
P.S. I bought some makeup off that website and Eric was like what the heck and I blamed it on you! It's all Darla's blogs fault. Now he doesn't like blogging even more!

love the pictures of your kids-- wish i could even just meet june! in response to your comment about why lindsey doesn't have a blog...i've asked her about it before, and she wonders where anyone finds the time. you should call her-- encouragement from mother of 3 might hold more weight than any from me:)
